Dukes' game moved south to Inđija
Goran Košutić
Being forced to find another location, after FK Slavija canceled their field Thursday, just two days before the game, the Novi Sad Dukes moved their upcoming game to a different town altogether.
The match against the Ljubljana Silverhawks will be played in Inđija, located approximately 40 kilometers south of Novi Sad, about halfway through on the way to Belgrade.
The reason for the cancellation were the poor field conditions left after Dukes' Serbian league game last Saturday. On short notice, that was the best Dukes could find, because there wasn't a stadium in Novi Sad that was available.
In Inđija, the local football team Indians play their Serbian league game, so the field is already marked and ready for american football. They even moved their original kickoff time from 3PM to 1.30PM, so the game between Dukes and the Silverhawks will start at 4PM as planned.
