Thunder cancel their last game

The game between the Cineplexx Blue Devils and the Zagreb Thunder will not be played this weekend, since the Thunder notified the league they cancel the game and will not travel to Austria.
It's a decision that was not surprising, as the Thunder are in last place without a win, making the game meaningless. That includes the Blue Devils too -- although they needed a win that would secure them first place, there was no chance that Thunder would take points back to Zagreb. The official score of 35-0 is probably lower than Zagreb would've lost had they come.
The Thunder were, by league rules, fined 1500 euros by the league and ordered to compensate the Blue Devils for costs of hosting the game. Whether they will actually do that is doubtful, as there is little interest on both sides for the Croatian team to continue to play in the CEFL.
