Blue Devils lose Eric Moore in tragic accident

Just days before the playoff semifinals, sad news come from Hohenems. The Blue Devils’ American import Eric Moore has passed away after being involved in what turned out to be a fatal car accident yesterday, going home after the team’s practice.

Because of the tragic outcome, the team considered not playing on Sunday, but will instead play and donate the income of the game to Moore’s family. He left behind a wife and a 5-year old son. Though in 2009 he played only in the fall part of the CEFL season for the Blue Devils, Moore made a mark on the team, as he played for them in prior years.

On behalf of all the league members, teams and employees, the CEFL expresses sincere condolences to Moore’s family, his teammates, coaches and the entire Blue Devils organization.
