Silverhawks again national champs

The Ljubljana Silverhawks defended the trophy they won last year, beating the Maribor Generals 23-10 in the championship game in Slovenia. It is the third Slovenian championship that the Silverhawks won.
The opponent from Maribor kept the game close, but the Silverhawks nevertheless showed why they are the best Slovenian team, hanging on to a 16-3 halftime lead.
Normally backup quarterback Lovro Gmajner scored on a sneak and Gregor Črepinšek scored the first of his two scoring on a touchdown run. The defense also scored on a safety.
The Generals got back into the game, reducing the lead to 16-10, but in the end, the Silverhawks' defense didn't just score. They also intercepted four pass attempts, showing once again why they are maybe the best defense in the CEFL. Črepinšek put the game out of reach with his second score.
