Obradović as Defensive Player of the YearEven after a successful season for the Wild Boars, this team has made changes. Last year`s coach, Vujica Samailović, told the team that he is no longer able to fully dedicate himself to working for the club. Now in his place is Marko Obradović, a former player of this team.
"I wanted to make it to the end of the season. I didn`t want to leave when team needed me the most, although I was pressured by personal commitments. I thought it was the right way. I didn`t leave the team, and I`m here to help as much as I can. I have always been, and always will be with the Wild Boars", said Samailović.
For the vacant position, Marko Obradović was chosen. Former linebacker of this team, and the best defensive player in SELAF for the 2006 season, announced his retirement after the final. His experience, knowledge and results so far were enough for the team to name him head coach.
"We already have plans on our preparations for next year. Our youth team is also making good progress. Our ambitions are always to be the champions", Obradović said shortly.
