Blowout win for the Wolves
Márton Iványi
After a shaky performance against Belgrade the Budapest Wolves played like a team that had something to prove. The defense had a spotless performance in the shutout victory, keeping Ljubljana out of their red zone all game, while the Silverhawks had no answer for the Wolves running game. The Wolves' final home game in the regular season ended with 50-0 for them on the scoreboard.
The Big 49, Péter Cseperkáló ran for three scores, while tail back István Demeter rushed for one and caught an improvised pass from holder Csanád Király on a two point conversion.
As QB Attila Lendvai had no problem getting to the field this time, Király lit up the Silverhawks for a couple of big plays on the receiving end too, sharing a TD apiece with fellow receiver Krisztián Piros.
The final score was set by a 4th and 1 TD run by backup TB László Csizmazia and the following extra point by Gábor Sviatkó who was 6/6 for the night.
