Home teams ready

With only three games remaining in the season, it’s time for the home teams to step up and provide an unforgettable experience to every fan attending the games.

Both teams, Budapest and Belgrade, have already proved to be capable of providing additional quality entertainment, and since the semifinal is the most important game to date, this weekend won’t be an exception.

In addition to the SELAF semifinal, fans in Budapest will also have an opportunity to watch the game between the Wolves’ and the St. Pölten Invaders’ junior teams prior to the big game, and like in every game this year the game ticket is also a potential prize for every fan.

Belgrade goes a similar route, though a little further – in partnership with Serbia’s new mobile network operator Vip – promotional materials and a single of singer Aleksandra Kovač will be handed to a number of lucky fans.

Aleksandra Kovač, the winner of MTV’s Best Adriatic Act in 2006 will be present to sing the national anthem of Serbia before the game. The game itself is scheduled to begin at 3PM and will start with skydivers landing on the field. This time, performing at half time will be hip hop artist Juice, and with fireworks, drummers, and other things the Vukovi decided to add, the playoffs are shaping to be a memorable event.

The game in Budapest will also feature a celebrity kickoff from a Hungarian Rugby Federation official and will start on a sadder note with a minute of silence as the game will be played on the 35th anniversary of the plain crash of Uruguay rugby players in the Andes.

Belgrade’s lineup appears more impressive on paper, but the Wolves have shown plenty when it comes to off the field action this season, especially during the first game against Novi Sad. No doubt they have something special in mind.
