Novi Sad`s great win over Kragujevac didn`t come without an injury to one of their more important player. Zoran Kosanović, the Dukes` safety collided during play with Ognjen Nikolić and suffered a neck injury.
After spending some time laying on the field, Kosanović was carried on a stretcher to an ambulance and driven to the Kragujevac hospital. He was diagnosed with injuries to the ligaments in his neck, and released from hospital today. According to vice president of Novi Sad Zorica Simić, he`s expected to miss several months, and not participate in games at least until league play resumes in the fall. Except this, no other problems are expected.
“He`ll miss at least three months. Even though he`s one of our more important players, the most important thing is the injury is not serious than this”, said Simić.
After the match, but also the next day, Kosanović was visited by his opponents in the Sunday`s game, players from Kragujevac Wild Boars.
