Pride at stake as Silverhawks and Legionaries play it out

Both Silverhawks and Legionaries have, de facto, finished their respective seasons a while ago. Still, the sunday`s game in Ljubljana will not be fully bereft of passion and effort – the Silverhawks will look to notch up one last home win before the curtain falls, while the Legion is still searching for that elusive first victory in SELAF.

WR/FS David Turšič, one of the Ljubljana team stalwarts, thinks that the `Hawks can finish on a high note at home. “Legionaries will be stronger for their Italian players, but we will do everything to win our last home game this year”, said Turšič.

Special teams coach Rok Grilec also believes that another win is a distinct possibility. “Defeats against Vukovi and Wild Boars showed us that we`re still lagging behind the SELAF top. Legionaries will fight hard, especially with their Italian reinforcements playing, but I believe our players can overpower them and win that third game for us”, said Grilec.

The game kicks off at 13h this Sunday, at Sportski Centar Alfa field, Ljubljana-Vevče.
