Ljubljana proved once again in this season they are too strong for Novi Sad after claiming 13-35 victory as visitors.
Dukes wanted revenge for 48-0 humiliation in Slovenia, but held only in first quarter. First of two Jordan Capitanio’s rushing TDs in this game was enough for short lead of visiting team, as Marko Djanic’s touchdown with extra point after it gave Novi Sad 7-6 lead after two quarters.
But, it was almost all from Dukes in this game, as Ljubljana’s running game proved once again as their main weapon. Rok Stamcar scored twice for 7-20 lead and Silverhawks never looked back after it.
Djanic’s another long connection with recovered Dukes’ quarterback Rastko Jokic was enough for cutting deficit to 14-20 in the last quarter, but then visitors’ storm started with Capitanio’s second rushing TD, and with Jan Lipovec’s safety and as well Jernej Pavlich fumble recovery returned for touchdown Ljubljana claimed another important victory in 2010 season.
