In Serbia for title, in Slovenia for advantage

There are two games left in regular CEFL season, and both are very important: Vukovi vs Dukes clash will also decide winner of Serbian Superleague, while Silverhawks and Wolves will play for 2nd spot and home advantage in semi-finals.

Despite already securing top seed for forthcoming CEFL play-offs, in which they’ll face new Turkish champions Istanbul Cavaliers who were successful in wild-card qualifications, Vukovi will have lot to play for on Saturday. Their game wit Novi Sad will be important as it’s also scheduled as Serbian Superleague finals, with two of the same teams once again taking on each other for the trophy, just like in 2009.

Vukovi have never lost at their field in Belgrade’s Ada, including their this year’s game with Dukes (50-6) and last season’s domestic finals (48-0). Novi Sad, on the other hand, were too good for other Serbian rivals, but in CEFL they are vying for first victory in 2010. There’s no toughest task to achieve it then to face Vukovi as visitors.

Meanwhile, in the same time, Saturday 16:00 CET, Ljubljana will be place of new exciting clash between Silverhawks and Wolves. On May 8th, it was team from Budapest who won a thriller (17-13), but in Slovenia hosts will seek a revenge. Silverhawks cruised over Dukes (13-35 in Novi Sad) but then lost to Vukovi (15-28) and are victory behind Wolves.

Since these two teams secured play-off berth, it’s their next game that will decide who’ll be the host of their semi-final match. Wolves will need any kind of win for that, and even “-3” defeat will suit them. Silverhawks are desperate to be victorious by five or more points in this match.
