The Wild Boars’ quarterback Santino Simone left the game against the Vukovi and did not return.
He was sacked by defensive lineman Miloš Lišanin, suffering what appeared to be a shoulder injury. The Wild Boars’ lost the game, but they can still qualify with a win or a tolerable loss in Ljubljana. What could be worrying for the team is that Simone is not able to continue.
Update: Simone confirms on Twitter he will be returning home

His team did already beat Ljubljana and they did it with backup Stefan Stefanović. But Stefanović also didn’t play today and his status is unclear. Simone was replaced by running back Mihajlo Novaković.
Simone joined the team after the team’s opening day starter, Stan Bedwell, got injured — also against the Vukovi. If he is not able to play in three weeks, when the Wild Boars travel to Ljubljana, he cannot be replaced by another import player, since the Wild Boars already used up their roster space allowed for imports.
