Last weekend Eastern Conference kept the SK CEFL season running with two games. Belgrade SBB Vukovi blew Nis Imperatori out of the water and Budapest Cowbells played host to Novi Sad GAT Dukes.
SBB Vukovi have shut out the hapless Nis Imperatori with 11 touchdowns and the final score 77-0. Mihailo Josovic has scored three rushing touchdowns of 27, 16 and 8 yards. John Uribe had a field day also with 5 passing touchdowns to Marko Bates of 20 and 25 yards, Mihailo Stefanovic of 60 yards, Uros Mladenovski of 40 yards and Vojin Milic of 5 yards. Kresimir Gorsa and Milic rushed for two more touchdowns of 3 yards and 15 yards each and Milan Pavlovic returned an interception 30 yards for a defensive score.
In Budapest, Cowbells’ defensive lineman Alex Tibbles opened the scoring with a safety. Home team kept the scoring with a field goal and a passing touchdown by Marton Czirok to Robert Kiss. Visitors answered in the second quarter over Drew Banks’ 34 yard pass touchdown to Andrej Puskas and a 35 yard field goal of their own. Czirok answers with a 12 yard passing touchdown to Laszlo Boros and the half time score 19-9.
For the home team it was all she wrote as their effort was entirely negated by opponents in the second half. Both GAT Dukes’ offensive and defensive units scored twice each. Defensive back, Goran Zec performed quite a feat intercepting two Czirok’s passes and returning them for touchdowns of 83 and 55 yards. Topping it off in the offense, Zec caught a 35 yard touchdown from Banks as well. The icing on the cake was a 45 yard touchdown from Banks to Bojan Davidovic and the final score 19-37.
