Western Conference starts this weekend with the game between Ljubljana Silverhawks and Cineplexx Blue Devils. Central Conference continues with Sarajevo Spartans hosting Zagreb Patriots and Domzale Tigers greeting Kranj Alp Devils.
The Silverhawks are one of the CEFL founding teams playing their 11th season. They brought back Anthony Gardner, their quarterback from 2012, their only winning season. Gardner was also awarded for his stellar play in the finals with the title of the MVP of the CEFL Bowl VII. Cineplexx Blue Devils have more help from overseas this season. In the quarterback position they have Blake Bolles, while their running backs playing as a linebacker and a defensive back, respectively, are Ryan Newell and Frank Miles.
In the Central Conference’s fifth week three teams are eyeing the conference finals. Spartans are in it with one win more than the Alp Devils in the last two weeks of regular season. Meanwhile, the Patriots can lock the home field advantage with a win in Sarajevo. On the other hand, the hapless Tigers will struggle to get their first win and get the monkey off their collective backs.
