Silverhawks looking for an upset
7 September 2006Dukes rout Legionaries, inch closer to the final
10 September 2006As expected, the Legionaries will return to Kuzmin. Following the organizatorial success of their last game there, the side from Mitrovica will again use the FK Graničar field as their home turf. The guests will be coming from nearby, as this Sunday the Legion is due to entertain the Novi Sad Dukes.
The guests will automatically assume the role of matchday favourite, considering that they are still in good position for the eventual top two placement. While Legionaries will be playing for pride, the Dukes are two wins and a Kragujevac slip in Belgrade away from the grand SELAF final, and will do everything to make that dream happen.
Dukes OC Predrag Nikolić is still cautious about this week`s opposition, while managing to keep an optimistic tone about things. “We`re well prepared for this game, as two wins is all we need now. We heard about their Italian reinforcements, but even with that accounted for I think we`re the stronger team. They`re looking for their first win, we`re looking for a place in the finals – summed short, I think our motivation is bigger”, said Nikolić.
RB Kosta Stojaković was much more direct in his approach. “I expect a win, regardless of their newcomers. Legionaries always fight hard, but our win is the sole realistic result one can expect”, said Stojaković.
The game is slated to begin at 16h.
