One of the League’s founding teams, the Novi Sad GAT Dukes are returning this season stronger than ever, after last appearing in 2010. During the 5 seasons they participated in the League, the GAT Dukes have never played in the finals, but they are hoping to change that this season with their overseas additions.
Team strategist will be Doug Adkins, a seasoned American coach coming from Carlstad Crusaders with whom he won two national bowls and competed in the Champions League. The team will also have a new quarterback in Alexander McKean who lead the Kirchdorf Wildcats to the southern division of the German Football League 2 last year. Another offensive weapon is going to be the outstanding wide receiver Will Powell, who helped the Schwabisch Hall Unicorns go to the German bowl last fall.
It’s evident that the GAT Dukes have been busy putting together the unit ready for big things. With their strong defense and a new zone-read offense, their up-and-coming team will be very tough to beat this season.
