The reigning champions SBB Vukovi are returning to the league again this season with the highest aspirations. Six of the starting players from last season have left the team to play in Turkey. However, the management has brought some of the national team players from other Serbian teams as well as the new additions from overseas.
One of the old acquaintances is Anthony Washington, fist-rate wide receiver who’s coming back for his third season in Belgrade. The head coaching position will be freshened up with Brian Mayper from Navarro College, whose engagement with SBB Vukovi is his first coaching job in Europe. The head of the offense this season is also one of the new additions, quarterback Miles Gates.
Marko Bakovic, 23 year old Serbian national team running back is one of the new additions. The other one is wide receiver Nikola Simovic, who came from last year’s participants, the Wild Boars. Vojislav Milenkovic and Vladimir Trajanovic will also fight for the spot in the offense and two former SBB Vukovi players, Lazar Bogicevic and Bosko Bunusevac, are coming back to shore up the defense.
